Join me for a small-group informal discussion (and food!) to gain new insights on refugees in the Middle East, community-based efforts to assist them, the power of mind-body healing in transforming trauma in refugee communities, and ways you might be able to get involved.

Refugees in the Middle East are back in the news, and countries like Jordan continue to host huge numbers of refugees from conflicts no longer making headlines. Collateral Repair Project (CRP) serves people affected by these tragedies every day. CRP's Executive Director, Amanda Lane, is in town and we're especially excited to share about an upcoming Healers Delegation to Collateral Repair Project in Jordan this November. I’m honored to be a part of the Collateral Repair Project’s Healers Delegation and can't wait to tell you more about it.

Our bodies want us to move them! When we move our body under light, there is a shadow in our reflection.

Shadows are the result of our bodies receiving and moving through light. Shadows are portals where we can directly see, interpret, and move our expression. We can even imagine our shadow and find parts of ourselves within its projection.

In this class, through Bioenergetic exercises, focused breathing, and movement practices, you can move your body with intention, liberate expression, release stress, and have fun along the way.

Core Breath : Tuesday Bioenergetic Classes

A class designed to enhance physical and energetic integration, clarity and vitality. Classes will combine elements of yoga and meditation with bioenergetic exercises. Bioenergetic exercises are designed to invite deeper understanding in the body’s energetic processes by getting in touch with where tension, energy, and emotion are held in the body and then releasing contraction through intentional breath and movement. The exercises are simple in posture, but can produce radiant vibrations that tune in to the complexity and simplicity of what one needs at their core. The exercises can open contact with sincere reflection, inner integrity and radical aliveness.

Are you ready to dive deeper into your writing practice and connect with others in community? Are you willing to explore your vulnerable interior spaces with clarity and empathy? This transformative retreat will examine our shifting identities as women and the legacies we’ve inherited from our families. Together we will free-write from prompts, listen as we share aloud, and experiment with writing from multiple points of view. Paired with each writing session, we will also deepen our inner awareness and connection with mindful breathing, meditation, and movement exercises.

Core Breath Experiential Workshop at the USABP Conference

Core Breath is an experiential workshop that weaves the integration of mindful breath awareness and intention within the therapeutic processes of Core Energetics. Participants will be guided through a compassionate process of tapping into the subtle body through breath, energetic consciousness and intentional movement.  Conscious awareness of our being can heighten through mindful cognizance of the way our breath flows, ebbs, is blocked or held. This heightened perception is a nexus of consciousness and matter via a direct experience of our embodied presence and a felt sense of our nervous system. By mindfully tuning into breathing while enduring a process of body-psychotherapy, this conscious awareness creates an embodiment that can facilitate a more rapid penetration of our outer skin/mask, while percolating the soils of our core self. The workshop will highlight specific considerations for integral alignment and breathing awareness in the process of supporting, enlivening and recuperating the mind-body-spirit connection.

Core Breath Workshop

Core Breath is an experiential workshop that weaves the integration of mindful breath awareness and intention within a process of discovering what may be root causes within patterns of body and mind. Grounded in the four foundations of Mindfulness of Body, Sensation, Thoughts, and Internal Awareness. 

Participants will be guided through different ways of using their breath to tap into the subtle body of emotions, energy, contraction and expansion. In the workshop, we will look into the anatomy of the body, and direct breath to help better articulate expression and voice. Elements of yoga, principles of Butoh, Core Energetics, and intentional improvisations will be woven through the workshop experience.
